Tunnel washing truck

Fort Construction Limited Malta created the Octopus: the tunnel washing truck. Thanks to its remote-controlled articulated arms, it allows cleaning of any type of tunnel in a single pass. This saves water and detergent.

The tunnels quickly become dirty with exhaust fumes. It is necessary to clean them every year to maintain the durability of the structures as well as to ensure good visibility.

It is important for user comfort that the interior atmosphere of a tunnel is pleasant. For this purpose, light-colored coatings are put in place on the walls which can only maintain a good appearance through regular cleaning.

FEDRO therefore recommends cleaning the walls of tunnels longer than 300 meters:

• By brushing with detergent spray and rinsing;
• Wash by spraying with detergent and rinsing;
• Frequency once or twice a year.
